Hello! This is my very first blog post on my brand new coaching site, whew. A tiny bit nervous. I have another blog, but it was something I was extremely comfortable with (papercrafting) and I wasn’t writing about all manner of life, just about stamping and paper. So please be gentle if you stumble across this post.
I have a new boat. I have never owned a boat in my life. My husband came home one day a month or so ago and said that he went to take a look at a few. We hadn’t talked about getting a boat, so it was a little surprising to me. But being the flexible always up for anything girl (snort) we bought ourselves a 38 foot sport cruiser. She is beautiful and we have been getting to know each other. We took her out yesterday for a spin around the harbor and stopped at the Hoover Dam. Really fabulous, I highly recommend it. We were trying to get some technical issues figured out when one our friends read the manual. I am paraphrasing a little here, but it basically said, “Approach getting to know all the operations and functions of your new vessel with a relaxed confidence.” We laughed out loud a little, but it did seem to be remarkably good advice. Who knew that boat owner’s manuals were so Zen.
So I am taking that advice to heart with my new adventure into life coaching and blogging. You can call me out if I seem not that relaxed or confident on some days;) Here’s to relaxed confidence in all areas of life!
